Reference Desk
You've got questions? We've got answers! Our friendly Reference Staff is here for you! Whether it be help with a research paper or a recommendation for a good book, we can get the information you need. We can also help you get an item that is not located in the Library. Be sure to stop at the Reference Desk or give us a call at (208) 733-2964, ext. 109, for more information.

Idaho and Pacific Northwest History Room
The Idaho and Pacific Northwest History Room is located on the main floor of the Library. This special room contains rare books, out-of-print books, manuscripts, pamphlets, scrapbooks, oral histories, and other materials that relate to the history of the area. The Clarence E. Bisbee Photo Collection contains historical photographs of early development of the Magic Valley. To gain access to this room, you must sign in at the Reference Desk and have your Library Card or a photo I.D. Items cannot be checked out, but copies can be made, at 15¢ per page. Copies of the Bisbee Photos can be made as well.

Obituaries/Newspaper Articles
The Twin Falls Public Library has microfilmed copies of the Times-News dating back to 1904, in addition to several other towns' early newspapers. The Times-News from 1904 to 1909 have been indexed, which is accessible through this link. Please stop in at the Reference Desk to learn how to search the microfilm. If you're out of town, you can request copies of obituaries to be sent to you. Please send the request in writing to: Reference Desk, Twin Falls Public Library, 201 4th Ave East, Twin Falls, ID 83301; or by email at: tfpl@lib.tfid.org. Fees are $1.50 for the first page per obituary and 25¢ for every page thereafter. Please include all possible information and your address.
