Shoshone Falls – Sarah Crawford

Artist, Sarah Crawford, found she had a passion for art as a toddler when her canvas was that of sidewalks and walls which quickly blossomed from creative daily play to true talent and passion. Crawford grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho where her family, friends and teachers encouraged the development of her artistic skills. Crawford became determined to pursue an art degree which led her to Boise State University. Crawford graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Advertising Design with an emphasis in Illustration.

Crawford’s work has been publicly displayed and admired at Boise State University, on a Mural for the magazine cover for Hart Research Center and in Illustration designs for Healthscene Magazine, just to name a few. Crawford has exhibited and received honors at numerous art shows with much recognition for her artwork. Some of these honors include: Best of Show, People’s Choice Award, 1st Place Division in Professional Illustration, the Laura Moore Cunningham Scholarship, Eastern Idaho Scholastic Art Awards and Dean’s List at Boise State University.

Crawford’s repertoire includes black and white pencil renderings, Prismacolor, pen and ink, acrylic paintings, oil paintings, airbrush paintings, graphic art, photography and her capricious love for cartoon drawings. Crawford also teaches art journaling, as a form of art therapy, for individuals who need help expressing emotions caused from traumatic events.

Currently, Crawford works out of her studio in Meridian, Idaho. Crawford gives credit to the Lord and her son, Cade, for being her highest inspiration. Crawford’s secondary inspiration grows from her family and close friends who continually support her artistic talent and encourage her through the journey of life.

Got Milk/White Satin – 2018 Advanced Kimberly High School Advanced Art Class

Artist's: Ryan Ennis, Jett Garrison, Leslie Gomez, Rachael Jensen, Symantha Rendo, Toria Stringham, Vanessa Hunt, and Bailey Taylor. Tami Aufderheide, Instructor.

Kimberly High School Advanced Art Class presents their interpretation of our life in the Magic Valley. This was a collaborative project where we discussed what it means to live in our community. The students wanted to show the major landmarks of the Perrine Bridge, Shoshone Falls, and Balanced Rock along with the outdoor views, activities and our major industries. This bright, fun, hopeful mural shares the view point of a younger generation devoted to their community and home.
